First Day of School! First Day of School!

Classes begin tomorrow! Let's hope I will be mentally prepared by then because at this moment in time, my brain is not prepared. For those of you that are interested I will be taking four classes: Drugs, Health and Culture, Culture of Hungary and Central Europe in the 20th Century, Hungarian History 1848-Present, and Field Observations. All classes except for Field Observations are taught in a normal class setting on Tuesdays and Thursdays. One class (Drugs, Health, and Culture) is taught by the UNH professor that came with us on the trip. The other two are taught by Hungarian faculty (in English). Field Observations are on Wednesdays, to which we take trips to various locations. The Field Observations we have planned are: US Embassy in Budapest, Budapest's Jewish District, Day trip to Eger to visit a town and prison (super excited about this one), Guest Lecture on the Hungarian Justice System, House of Terror and Statue Park, Police Department in Budapest, Drug Rehabilitation Center, Law Enforcement Academy in Budapest, a 3 day trip to the Hague (which is in the Netherlands for those of you who didn't know), Guest Lecture about the EU, Holocaust Memorial Center, House of Parliament, and the Hungarian National Gallery! As you can see it will not just be a full time party here in Budapest (but don't get me wrong I'll make time for some fun too). Now if I can just get my brain back into school mode, I will be good to go!
