9/11

My first September 11th not in the States, and I must say it's a bit strange. Everyone here is carrying on with their day to day lives; no somber faces, no memorials, no American flags. Not sure if it's the day or the fact that I haven't seen my family in over 3 weeks but I'm feeling a little bit homesick today. Don't get me wrong, I am absolutely in love with Europe and would not trade this experience for anything in the world, but I am missing America today. Rest in peace to those who lost their lives in 9/11; you will never be forgotten.
